Rudolph (Rudy) Roach was born October 25,1939, in Chicago, Illinois to the union of Rufus and Lynnye Roach. He wasthe second eldest of eight children. Rudolph received his education at Gillespie Elmentary and Chicago Vocational High School. He served in the United States Army as a Paratrooper during the Korean conflict.

Rudolph married his childhood sweetheart, Susie Mae Henley. To this union God gave one son, Darryl Maurice and one Dana Marcell. The Chicago Transit Authority employed Rudolph for thirty-four years. He was a Supervisor and Senior Bus Inspector, responsible for training six hundred bus drivers yearly.

Rudolph was a member of Lilydale Progressive Baptist Church, where he received Christ and was baptized at an early age. He later joined Greater Pleasant Green Church, where he recommited his life to Christ. rudolph was a member of Arabic Temple #44 A.E.A.O.N.M.S, Western Consistory #28, Rebecca D. Boone #128 O.E.S, And fidelity Lodge #103 F.&A.M.

He was active and served in many capacities, most notably as Dean of Instructions for Fidelity Lodge #103 and as a member of the Eagles Club for Wesrern Consistory #28. On Thursday, August 12,2005 Rudolph made his peaceful transition, thus ending a life well lived.
